Video Works & Short Films - Giorgio Gerardi

Videos produced since 2022. The earlier works start from my own footage, clouds filmed with a GoPro, a road seen from a moving car, a tree, reworked until the subject dissolves into colour and movement. The more recent ones are made with the help of AI, following the same line of research by other means.

What stays constant is the starting point: an ordinary observation pushed towards abstraction. I compose the soundtrack for every piece myself, sound and image are developed together, not layered afterwards.

These works have been selected and screened at international festivals, including Video Art Miden (Kalamata), the Seoul International AI Film Festival, BAIFF, VASTLab (Los Angeles) and Asolo Art Film Festival.
