Liquid State – Black
“Liquid State – Black”: matter without a shape of its own, taking on the form of whatever container holds it or whatever force moves through it, never settling into a permanent state. Together, the two words of the title do not describe an object, but a condition, something that exists only in the moment of change.
Matter opens, contracts, thickens, and disperses, never resolving into a steady form that the eye can hold onto. The work lives in this very gap: between our need to recognize a shape and its constant slipping away, matter and color dissolving into an abstract, atmospheric experience.
The track is titled ‘On the Beach’ and is part of my third album, ‘Still Life’.
