red, yellow, black, violet
‘red, yellow, black, violet’ is part of an exploration of colour and form I keep coming back to, made with the help of AI. The palette comes first here, before anything else, warm yellow and red colliding with black and violet, moving in these curved, irregular ways that make me think of liquid expanding outward. Nothing ever sits still. The colours are always halfway through becoming something else.
What holds it together isn’t a subject, it’s a rhythm, soft curved lines that wrap around each other and stretch across the frame without any real symmetry. Warm tones push against cool ones, layer over layer, building depth without ever settling into a scene you could name.
Take away the end credits and the first frame matches the last, so it loops seamlessly when projected.
